It's 5am, the alarm clock jolts you awake. The fastest you'll move all day is turning over to switch it off so it doesn't wake up your other half.
You managed to get around 6 hours sleep after staying up late. Well 5 hours because you were wide awake at 3am thinking about how you're going to keep the boys busy after that big job cancelled last minute.
At least it's lit a fire under you to get out of bed, make a coffee, and get to workshop hours before that other half of yours has got the kids up to get them ready for school.
The closest your going to get to relaxed is your laptop screensaver that's you on holiday 3 years ago, but you hit 'CTRL', 'ALT', 'DELETE' and log in.
Open on your screen are the invoices you didn't quite finish last night, but they'll have to wait because you're gonna have to call a bunch of old customers and see if anyone has some work to put in the hole that cancelled job has left.
At least the stress is a distraction from asking yourself "how the hell I get here?".
It's a bit long winded, and a few of the details are probably wrong, but that's why this workshop exists.
Because you are good at what you do, work hard, and knew that taking some risk to start a business would be worth it.
So you went out of your own, got set up, and the work started coming in.
You did a good job and communicated well because it was just you.
Word got out and you got busier, but with a few extra hours, some missed dinners, and the odd Saturday morning on the tools, you made it work.
Sure enough, things got even busier. The solution was obvious, hire someone to help.
The two of you managed well, it was easy to keep an eye on the new guy and catch the mistakes before they got too costly.
The word of mouth going around about you was "great work, done on time, with good communication".
What customer wouldn't want that?
So more work comes in and you've got no choice but to hire again.
Now the cracks start to show.
You got to find more work to keep the new team member busy, price that work, schedule it, order for it...
You were already falling behind on scheduling.
Systems hadn't even crossed your mind until now, but now they're the only things that going to save.
But where are you going to find the time to figure out what you need, build them, and train your team on them?
You're already drowning.
So you starting looking around and see an ad for business coach.
They seem to say the right stuff but you're a bit weary, you can't trust a random guy on the internet.
And well, you're right.
This Workshop is the proof to show you we can help you and your business.
